Coach full of Hull City fans attacked

A coach carrying Hull City fans had it’s windows smashed in by Liverpool fans after the match between the two clubs. The coach was parked near Anfield as it was attacked. The fans were left “Shaken” one man complained of a back pain. The Police are investigating CCTV footage for criminal damage. The attack happened in Townsend Avenue in Anfield around 17:35GMT just over half an hour after the match had finished resulting in a 2-0 win for Liverpool.

Supt Chris Markey said: “We work closely with both clubs and the local authority at football matches so they can be enjoyed safely by all. I’m sure Liverpool residents would agree that it’s disappointing to hear that visitors to our city have had this experience.”

Steve Simpson (Hull Fan on the Coach) Said: “It was pretty frightening, it was pandemonium.”
