After a poor domestic campaign this season, Real Madrid will be active in the summer transfer window to bolster their side for next season. Few players are also expected to leave to accommodate new signings.
Madrid President Florentino Perez wants to make stellar signings and has been linked with the likes of Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski and Mohamed Salah ahead of the summer transfer window.
But Cristiano Ronaldo is lobbying Pérez to sign Goncalo Guedes from Valencia this summer, claims Don Balon. He does not believe the club need to sign another top striker, because he believes he can lead the line. Instead, he wants his young countryman brought to the club to help bolster the attack next season.
Guedes joined Valencia on a season long loan from Paris Saint-Germain last september. He has proved a hit at the club and quickly became fan’s favorite, even receiving plaudits for his early season form.
It is thought that Valencia wants to make the deal permanent and PSG are also willing to sell him as they want to square the Financial Fair play demanded by UEFA. The French giants are demanding €50 million.
But with Ronaldo insisting to bring his compatriot at the Club, Real Madrid might make a move for him this summer. It is also reported that €50 million would be enough to sign the Portuguese.
