Frenkie De Jong has reportedly said yes to a move to Barcelona.
The Ajax starlet has been on the Catalan club’s radar for quite some time.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Ajax starlet Frenkie De Jong has agreed to a make a move to Barcelona after a long wait. The player has been on the radar of the Catalan giants for quite some time now and it is reported that the reigning La Liga champions have finally cracked the deal to land the Dutch youngster.
The player has been one of the most wanted players on the Catalan club’s radar. However, he has also been on the wishlist of a number of other top clubs including Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester City, but Barcelona seem to have won the battle to bag the talented Dutchman from the Eredivisie club.
As per the report, the only formality that now remains to be done between the two clubs is that Barcelona has to pay up the requisite €75 million for the 21-year-old starlet. Reportedly, Paris Saint Germain were also ready to pay the same amount to the Eredivisie giants last month to get the player to Parc Des Princes but De Jong himself preferred a move to the La Liga outfit over the Ligue 1 giants.
