Mount is United’s first acquisition of the summer transfer window as they attempt to strengthen Erik ten Hag’s midfield. The 24-year-old is searching for work after discussions to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea came to a standstill.
United are eager to comply, and according to MEN Sport, Mount and personal agreements have been reached. Although it is believed that Tony Mount and Neil Fewings, Mount’s agent, have had preliminary talks with United, the two clubs have not yet reached an agreement on a transfer fee.
