Eden Hazard has returned to London and will now have surgery on his fractured ankle on Monday.
Eden sustained the injury in training with Belgium at the National Football Centre in Tubize on Sunday.
He was ruled out of their friendly against the Czech Republic on Monday immediately and also the World Cup Qualifier in Estonia on June 9.
Now a scan has revealed the injury to be more serious than first thought, and now Hazard could be out for up to eight weeks, which will affect his pre-season preparations with Chelsea.
Hazard has been the talking point all week after the Belgian admitted he would listen to offers from Real Madrid, and now this injury.
Belgium are top of their World Cup qualifying group, just two points ahead of Greece and must also do without one of their key players the next two games.
