In 1997/98 season, Arsenal won their first Premier League title just after five seasons when the English Football League was changed to the premier league. They won the league by a point from Manchester United, overhauling an eleven point lead in the process. The Gunners won their second title in the 2001/02 season, a season they completed as champions and having scored in every league game, Barclaycard was the new league title sponsor.
Arsenal’s third premier league trophy was in 2003/04, a season that stands to be as their best ever.This time Arsenal won the league undefeated in any league game, a record that still stands and might stay for several years unbeaten. They were named ” The Invincibles ” for this record they had made. Though Arsenal have yet to win another League title as it is now over ten years since they last won the league.Â
