Everton have turned their attention to Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud as possible replacement for United bound Romelu Lukaku.

Reports emerging earlier this afternoon claim that Everton have accepted a bid of around 75 million from Manchester United. The deal is still not confirmed however it seems that United are not very far off from Everton’s valuation of the Belgian striker.

Should Romelu Lukaku seal his much anticipated Summer move to United, Everton will go all out to sign Olivier Giroud, the out of favour Arsenal striker. The french striker has been heavily criticised by the Arsenal faithful and is now on the verge of leaving after Arsenal confirmed 55 million Alexandre Lacazette signing yesterday evening.

The Merseyside club will need to fill Lukaku’s absence once he seals his move and they see Olivier Giroud as the ideal replacement. Both clubs are locked in talks over the Frenchman’s future and Giroud hopes to secure his move and start a new chapter in his career at Everton.
