The Blues are just one of many clubs looking to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Ousmane Dembele this summer
Now it’s being reported that Chelsea have less competition now.
According to Spanish source Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have ended their interest in Dembele this summer after re-signing winger Gerard Deulofeu from Everton last month.
As reported by readchelsea: ‘The La Liga giants exercised their buy-back clause on Deulofeu in order to bring him back to the Nou Camp, but may return for the France international next summer providing he doesn’t complete a big money transfer during this transfer window.’
Dembele is currently valued at £79m and has also been linked with Premier League giants Manchester United this summer, however, Dortmund are determined not to sell their star forward.
Chelsea want to add options in attack and are still looking to secure the transfer of Romelu Lukaku from Everton while Diego Costa’s future at Stamford Bridge remains very much up in the air.
