It’s official now as James Rodriguez has completed the Qatar transfer. The Everton star player left the Premier League club to join Qatar Star League club Al-Rayyan. Qatar club will soon announce the signing of James Rodriguez. Everton manager Rafael Benitez pinpointing the cause of the Colombian’s exit. He looks to leave Everton one year after joining from Real Madrid.
Rodriguez was on a two-year deal with the option for a third at Everton to reunite with his former Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti. Ancelotti is now in Spain and Colombia star is not in the plan of new Everton manager Rafa Benitez. He gets £200,000 per week at Goodison Park. Everton manager cleared that he must leave in order for the club to abide by Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

He said on Tuesday night, “We are talking about a special situation for this club. The financial fair play rules, we have to manage everything in the best way we can.”
Everton was knocked out recently from EFL Cup third round after a disappointing penalty-shootout defeat against Queens Park Rangers. Benitez arrived in the close-season and did not use Rodriguez in a single game. 30-year old player made 26 appearances for Everton and scored six goals.
