Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has committed his future to the club by declaring his intentions of staying at Anfield ‘for years’.

The Englishman has recently been made the club’s vice-captain, lining him up to replace Steven Gerrard once the veteran decides to retire from the game, and the midfielder’s recent form has seen him become one of Brendan Rodgers’ key players.

Eyebrows were raised when The Reds spent ÂŁ20million on signing the midfielder from Sunderland, and after a year of struggles, Henderson has finally found his form and is starting to pay off his price-tag with his consistent displays.

After setting up a goal and scoring one for himself at the weekend, Henderson admitted that his intentions are to stay at Anfield for years to come.

“I am just concentrating on playing football. I am not worried about that.

“I am enjoying my football, I love this club and I want to be here for many years so that shouldn’t be an issue.”

The 24-year-old is set to sign a new contract within the next few weeks, along with; Steven Gerrard, Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling.
