Seamus Coleman could move to Old Trafford
Jose Mourinho has asked Ed Woodward for permission to sign Seamus Coleman from Everton this January.
It’s thought the player is valued at around £16million, and with United ready to offload current right-back Matteo Darmian to Inter Milan, they will be in the market for a replacement.
Long-time servant at United Antonio Valencia, who scored one and assisted two to help Ecuador defeat Chile 3-0 in a World Cup qualifier this week, has been preferred at full-back.
But Coleman, who turns 28 this week, is the player Mourinho has identified as the long-term man to fill the role. His performances at Everton over the recent years have continued to impress, and he was linked with Chelsea while Mourinho was in charge there. Maybe this time Jose will get his man.
