Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy has edged closer to completing his move to Liverpool as he undergoes his medical with the club in America.
Brendan Rodgers and his squad are currently doing a pre-season tour in USA, and Remy has flew out to Boston to join up with the team and also complete his medical before officially signing for the club.
The deal is worth £8.5million, and it will be Rodgers’ fifth Summer signing, with a couple more nearing completion as well.
The French international spent last season in the Premier League with Newcastle United, scoring 14 goals during his loan-spell.
His impressive performances for The Magpies raised eyebrows at both North London clubs, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, but despite long interest from the former, Remy is set to join Anfield on a five-year deal.
