Newcastle United have included several Under-23s players to senior training. The Magpies are under new ownership and they are trying to rebuild their club for the new season. They have boosted their financial resources.
The English club included Elliot Anderson (forward), Jack Young (midfielder), Matty Bondswell (left-back) and Dylan Stephenson (striker) to the senior squad ahead of their Premier League clash with Arsenal.
According to Chronicle Live, the foursome were monitored by coaches Jason Tindall, Graeme Jones and Ben Dawson. Manager Eddie Howe is absent from training, as he is self-isolating after testing positive for COVID-19 on Friday.
Club website stated: “Eddie Howe has been unable to take training this week, with new head coach still self-isolating after testing positive for Covid-19 on Friday, but the work continues ahead of Saturday’s trip to Arsenal.”
The Magpies currently stands at the bottom spot and they are in the relegation zone with 6 points in the pocket from 12 matches. They are the only club in the current season of the Premier League that are still winless.
