The agent of Nikola Zigic claims that his player is in talks over a possible move to Arsenal, reports the Metro.
Milan Calasan claimed in an interview with Serbian media that Arsene Wenger is keen to take 6 foot 7, Zigic to the Premier League, following his release from Birmingham City in May.
Zigic’s final act in a Birmingham shirt was to help his side stay up in the Championship on the final day, with Birmingham scoring twice in eight minutes to draw 2-2 at Bolton Wanderers on the final day of the season in May.
Agent Calasan stated:
‘Wenger called me on Tuesday and stressed his desire to sign Zigic.
‘He was offered a contract until the end of the year, with a view to it being extended to 2015 – we’ll see what happens.’
The 33 year old spent four years at Birmingham, and scored seven goals in 34 games for the Blues last season.
