It’s said Brighton is still keen on deal.
After growing concerns over his lack of game time under Antonio Conte, reports have said Ruben is frustrated and wants more game time.
Loftus-Cheek has only started four games in all competitions under the new Blues boss this term, none of which have been in the Premier League.
Even though Loftus-Cheek is highly regarded at Chelsea, he has had limited opportunity to impress under Conte.
A number of clubs have showed an interest including Watford, Middlesbrough and Swansea.
Conte was asked about the young lad’s future at the Bridge, and the Italian expressed his feelings on the situation.
He said: “Ruben is a really good player and he is an important prospect for me. We have to take the best decision for him next season, the best solution.
“But for sure, Ruben is a young player, from our Academy with a good prospect to become a Chelsea player.”
