According to reports from AS, Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen has verbally agreed a move to join Real Madrid. Eriksen’s current contract at Tottenham expires in 2020 and he is yet to sign a new contract at the club.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will reportedly demand €150 million from Real Madrid for the Danish attacking midfielder. However, Real could also wait till next summer as then, they can buy him for free.

Real Madrid have shown interest in Christian Eriksen for a long time now but were unable to do so. However, now it seems that Eriksen himself is eager to move to the Spanish capital.

One of the best attacking midfielders in Europe, Christian Eriksen has established himself as one of the greatest footballers to have come out of Denmark through his performances for Tottenham. The 27-year old has been an integral player for the North London outfit since joining them from Ajax in 2013.

So far, Eriksen has made 273 appearances for the club, scoring 65 goals and providing 86 assists. This season, the Dane has made 47 appearances across all competitions, scoring 9 goals and providing 17 assists.

Tottenham would prefer convincing Eriksen to sign a new contract with the club but if they are to sell him, they would prefer doing so this summer as next summer, his transfer won’t raise any funds.
