Barcelona have always claimed that Luis Suarez cost the club £65 million, whilst Liverpool argue that it was £75 million.
Both arguments are apparently wrong. According to a new study from Goal.com, it is suggested that Suarez could potentially cost Barcelona £200 million!
The study takes in to account the transfer values, signing-on fees, agent fees, wages and other costs to reach a total figure for how much players truly cost their clubs.
Suarez was the most expensive player bought in the summer of 2014, obviously being valued at £200 million.
Angel Di Maria was not far behind him as he could cost Man United up to £191 million.
In third, James Rodriguez’s cost is around £134 million
Alexis Sanchez could cost Arsenal £114 million, while Luke Shaw, the most expensive 18 year-old, is set to cost United £104 million.
Chelsea’s Diego Costa cost them £103 Million whilst Cesc Fabregas’s price could rise to £100 million.
Juan Mata, David Luiz and Eliaquim Mangala are also included to make up the top ten most expensive transfers.
