Blues defender Kenneth Omeruo has been pegged by one of his old coaches to follow in-form Blues star Victor Moses at Stamford Bridge.
The Nigerian wide-man made the transition to wing-back quite comfortably this season after a switch to a 3-4-3 formation by Antonio Conte.
His form has been one of the big surprises of the season.
Chelsea have not really been known for handing out opportunities to their young players, However, John Obuh of the Nigerian side Kwara United has been very encouraged by Moses’ breakthrough this term.
Having worked with Omeruo, 23, earlier on in his career, he believes he could make a similar impact if given the opportunity by Conte.
‘All he needs is a chance just like Victor Moses. We all saw how he was sent on several loans but finally got his chance under Antonio Conte, and he is making his mark,’ he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
‘He is very good in playing several roles, due to his training as a full back before he finally settled for a central defence role, you also have to know that he is very comfortable as a defensive midfielder.’
Omeruo is currently on loan at Alanyaspor after three previous spells away from Stamford Bridge.
