Liverpool‘s biggest and most expensive signing of the summer comes in the shape of Christian Benteke.
The Reds were after the Belgium all summer, but refused to meet his release clause of £32.4million.
However, after they were informed by Aston Villa that the striker wouldn’t be sold for anything less than his clause, Brendan Rodgers stumped up the cash and decided to green-light the deal.
Benteke‘s move was funded by a mega-money move that happened earlier in the summer, which will come later on this list.
