A move back to his old club means the 30-year-old will have to take a significant pay cut, but on the greener side, he will still be joining a team with an interesting project. Mauricio Pochettino’s men finished as Champions League runner-ups last season; the team’s vast potential could be enough for Bale to be convinced about the club’s ambitions.
Tottenham have also become strong contenders to win the Premier League as the seasons have passed by. Bale might be a four-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, but he still misses a winners’ medal of the toughest league in the world.
Should Bale move to his old employers, he will not have a shortage of challenges to fulfil in England.
