Topping the list is English man Andy Carroll, the former Liverpool man is currently playing for West Ham United. Andy Carroll joined Liverpool in 2011 from Newcastle United for a fee of £35 million making him the clubs most expensive signing of all time then, the Kop brought him into the team after selling striker Fernando Torres to Chelsea for a staggering £50 million so they need a replacement.

Because of injury problems the Englishman faced he didn’t make his debut until March and only managed to score two goals in his debut season. The following season he only managed to score nine times in 47 appearances for the Kopites, he was eventually sold by Brendan Rodgers to West Ham United for £12.25 million.
