With Barcelona setting up their squad for a massive overhaul, it is expected that almost all senior players will leave the club.
The three players who have reportedly already been shown the door are Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal.
Vidal who has formerly played for Bayern Munich and Inter Milan is now angling for a move back to Italy. A member from Vidal’s close ring has said that the player wants to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin.
‘Antonio Conte has called him several times to try to convince him but Vidal wants to be sure he is doing something big in the Champions League before giving an answer.’
‘But he is attracted by the idea of returning to Juve. On the one hand there is the possibility of playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and trying to win the Champions League.’
‘On the other hand, the fact that he returns home, where everyone knows him.’
Vidal is no longer a player in his prime and for any big team to sign the player will be in all probability a loss for them as he will at best provide squad depth to the team he joins.
