Chelsea FC sacked Antonio Conte and hired Maurizio Sarri as head coach from Napoli. Sarri has chosen to take Jorginho who is also from Napoli along with him to Chelsea. It’s said that the deal to sign Sarri was included in the £57 million fee for Jorginho (around £7 million).
Chelsea broke the transfer record for a goalkeeper after signing Kepa Arrizabalaga for £71.6 million- just a couple of weeks after Liverpool had broken the record for signing Allisson. The Blues also signed Mateo Kovacic on loan from Real Madrid as a makeweight for selling goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid for a cut price (around £35 m) due to his contract expiring and also sue to the Belgian forcing Chelsea’s hand by going AWOL in preseason training.
Chelsea now have a fluidity in their play and are keeping move of the ball than they have done in previous years under different managers.
