When Jose Mourinho arrived at the club, Real Madrid failed to reach the Champions League quarter-final for almost a decade. When the Portuguese manager arrived at the club Real Madrid made it to the Semi finals of the Champions League in almost 10 years after they beat Lyon in the last 16.
