The UEFA confirmed that the total prize money pool will be around €371 million which will be distributed among 24 national teams. That is a more than a 23% increase in the previous prize money pool of €304 million awarded back in previous edition Euro 2020.

Euro 2024 Prize Money: Qualification Split

Each contending country will get €9.25 million just for participating, in addition to a further €1.5 million for every success in the gathering stage and €750,000 for a draw.

Euro 2024 prize fund is set for a big increase

The competition itself will expand to 51 games where 24 teams will lock horn in what will be the biggest European Championship tournament ever. 65% increase in matches compared to just 31 played during 2012 competition means there will be more than 80% more tickets available for the competition and because the competition is taking place in one of the “top 5” markets which makes it more premium valued than the last 20 years of competitions.

The board of UEFA expects to generate somewhere around €500 million to €600 million in revenue for the 2024 competition while four ago Poland and Ukraine hosted the Euro 2012 which generated roughly €300 million. The increase in revenue means that the prize money awarded to teams will increase as well.

Qualified teams who can get Euro 2024 Prize Money

Germany are the only side to qualify as hosts, with 23 other spots up for grabs.

The UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying tournament is a football competition that is being played from March 2023 to March 2024 to determine the 23 UEFA member men’s national teams that will join the automatically qualified host team Germany in the UEFA Euro 2024 final tournament.

The competition is linked with the 2022–23 UEFA Nations League, which gives countries a secondary route to qualify for the final tournament.
