This is how the 2023 French Open ended
How did Nadal do? After a long and hard-fought tournament, they have finally been able to crown the winners of the French Open 2023. On the men’s side, the Serbian and multiple champion Novak Djokovic managed to crush all opposition and finally beat Norwegian Casper Ruud in the final, after not losing a single set during the course of the tournament.
It was not the big favorite Rafael Nadal in the final as Rafael Nadal withdrew from the tournament due to illness. Rafael Nadal has been ruthless during the season and fought like an animal, but due to illness he did not get the chance to lift the trophy.
The winner on the women’s side was not entirely unexpected Iga Swiatek, ranked 1st in the world ranking, who succeeded in beating the super talent Karolina Muchova in the 2022 French Open final.
Iga Swiatek thus won her third French Open title, which was not so unexpected. The Polish tennis player beat the likes of Coco Gauff in the quarterfinals and Beatriz Haddad Maia in the semifinals on her way to the final, where she won 2-1 in sets and the result 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.
