Reus won three DFL-Supercups with Dortmund (in 2013, 2014, and 2019), as well as the DFB-Pokal in 2017 and 2021. He is one of just three players to have 100 Bundesliga goals and assists, having scored over 150 goals for the team. He has won the Bundesliga Player of the Season award three times, as well as the German Footballer of the Year award twice.

Reus has 48 international appearances for Germany. He participated in the UEFA Euro 2012 and the FIFA World Cup 2018, but was unable to attend the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which Germany won, UEFA Euro 2016, UEFA Euro 2020, and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

9. Cesar Azpilicueta – Chelsea: Best Football Captains

Top 10 Best football Captains of 2018 Cesar Azpilicueta

Okay so Cesar AKA Dave is not actually the club captain but he is the vice-captain and whenever Chelsea captain Gary Cahill doesn’t play, Dave does an amazing job as captain.

He is a such a great leader on the pitch that many Chelsea fans, including myself, think he’s the best choice for Captain. He plays every game, he always plays well , and he is always shouting at his teammates, encouraging them and telling them off. He organises the defence as well which is something the Captain Gary Cahill doesn’t do as much.

So in my eyes, I believe Cesar Azpilicueta is one of the Top 10 Best football Captains of 2024.

8. Ilkay Gündogan – Manchester City: Best Football Captains
