Who are the Top 10 Worst Premier League Players in History? Have you ever thought of finding out which players are the worst to ever play in the Premier League? 10. Winston Bogarde- Chelsea

Kick starting the list of the Top 10 Worst Premier League Players in History is former Chelsea man Winston Bogarde. Winston Bogarde is currently retired from professional  football but today he makes the list of the Top 10 Worst Premier League Players in History. A player who was known for his physical strength, he is most remembered for his times at Ajax, Barcelona and Chelsea football club, in his last three seasons at Chelsea football club he failed to make a single appearance for the Blues, the club wanted to sell the player due to his hefty salary and was not helping the team in any way but he chose to stay and take the high wages regardless.

9. Savio Nsereko – West Ham United

Savio Nsereko takes up ninth on the list of the Top 10 Worst Premier League Players in History. After signing for the Hammers in 2009 for a fee around £9 million he signed a four and a half year contract at West Ham United. He was also given the jersey number 10. Savio barely lasted a year in the Premier League as he failed to settle at the club and later in the year he joined Fiorentina for a fee of €2.7 million with Manuel de Costa joining West Ham United as part of the deal.

8. Ahmed Fathi- Sheffield United

The Egyptian international Ahmed Fathi makes the list of the Top 10 Worst Premier League Players in History coming in at number eight. The 31 year old plays as a right-back or a defensive midfielder and is currently playing for Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League. Wow! From the Premier League to the Egyptian League? Damn! He has gone so low.

He played in the Premier League for Sheffield United when they were trying to get off the relegation game he only played three games for United in the quest for escaping the relegation zone. But a few months later he was released by the team and went back to Egypt were he is currently playing.

7. Corrado Grabbi- Blackburn Rovers

Taking up seventh is ex Blackburn Rovers player Corrado Grabbi. Back in 2001 Corrado Grabbi signed for Blackburn Rovers for £6.75 million and became the most expensive signing by the club at the time. He played a total of 30 games in three years for the Rovers but only managed to score two goals for the Premier League. This was not good enough for a striker and after the failed spell in the Premier League he returned to his home country Italy were he ended his career in 2008.

6. Xisco- Newcastle United

In sixth is Spanish player Xisco who is currently playing for Mallorca on loan from Cordoba. At the age of 21, Xisco joined Newcastle from Deportivo La Coruna for a fee of  £5.7 million, a fee which could have seen risen to £7 million according to the agreement. The player was so horrible on the pitch as he found himself seventh choice to  Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins, Mark Viduka, Peter Løvenkrands, Shola Ameobi and Andy Carroll. The club tried to get rid of him but couldn’t work because of FIFA rules that a player cannot play for three different clubs in the year, Newcastle was later relegated from the Premier League and were stuck with the Spanish international for five more years.

The player only managed to make just nine games and managed to write his name into the Newcastle record books by scoring a goal before finallly moving back to Spain.

5. Per Kroldrup- Everton

Closing down on the top five is former Everton man Per Kroldrup. Everton signed Danish center-back Per Kroldrup for five million pounds from Italian club Udinese, when he arrived at the club he couldn’t start playing yet as he was out due to injury. When he was fit again he played a full ninety minutes for the Merseyside reds and were beaten 4-0 and the Danish never played for the Toffees ever again till he moved back to Italy as he was sold to Fiorentina. This player might have flopped in the Premier League but he managed to rack up 33 caps for the Danish national team.

4. Roque Junior-Leeds United

Roque Junior is a former footballer who played as a center-back during his playing days, he also won the FIFA World Cup with Brazil in 2002, he was later signed on loan by Leeds after his triumph with the Brazilian national team but his Premier League career only lasted seven games as Leeds United found out that the Brazilian was so poor at defending and was sent back to Milan were he later joined Siena on loan again in the same year.

3. Andrea Silenzi-Nottingham Forest

Closing down on the top three is Italian ex footballer Andrea Silenzi. The Italian joined Nottingham Forest in 1995 and became the first Italian player to play in the Premier League. He had a decent scoring record in Italy as he managed to score 32 goals in 132 appearances playing for four clubs, Nottingham Forest thought they would gamble on the player and what a gamble it was by the Premier League club to bring the Italian in the League. Andrea Silenzi was definitely the worst player to represent the league by that time

After leaving the Premier League he only managed to find the back of the net nine times in the rest of his career playing for four different clubs.

2. Ali Dia- Southampton

Taking up second on the list is Ali Dia who played for Southampton in the Premier League, Rumor has it that Ali Dia’s friend called Southampton pretending to be George Weah and advised them to sign his cousin Ali Dia’s, and he was later signed and was allowed to train with the team, Ali signed a month long contract with the Saint’s. He came in as substitute against Leeds but only played for 53 minutes before pulling , he was later released after just 14 days as a Saints player, Wow! That was quick!.

Amaury Bischoff was signed by Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger in 2008 from German side Werder Bremen even as Arsene Wenger signed this player he knew it was a gamble of talent. He knew the player’s injury record over the years. On 2nd May 2009 Amaury Bischoff made his first and only Premier League appearance for the Gunners as he came on as a second half sub as he replaced Theo Walcott his time in the Premier League only lasted 28 minutes he was later released by the club and is now playing for Preußen Münster as a central midfielder
