Club could sell Manchester United and Chelsea target

0

Sporting Lisbon chairman Bruno De Carvalho has admitted that the club could sell Chelsea and Manchester United target William Carvalho this Summer.

The two Premier League sides have shown interest in the Portuguese midfielder, with United keen on his signature last Summer, and according to reports, both clubs are willing to spend over ÂŁ30million on the 22-year-old.

Despite the interest being shown, De Carvalho has admitted that no formal bids have been made yet, with reports suggesting a ÂŁ37m bid was made by United, but the chairman then followed up by saying anything can happen in football.

De Carvalho said: “We haven’t received any formal or informal proposals for any of our players.

“Is a sale possible? Nothing is impossible in football.”

Both United and Chelsea have already spent big this Summer, with The Blues purchasing Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, whilst United have signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw.

Chelsea flop has some wise-words for Diego Costa

0

Former-Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko has told the club’s new signing, Diego Costa, that he must score early in order to win over the fans.

The Blues splashed out ÂŁ32million on the Spaniard, who had a poor World Cup in Brazil, and Shevchenko has told him that if he doesn’t score early on in his West-London career, he will be called a flop, much like the Ukrainian was when he played for the club.

Shevchenko, who was one of the top strikers in world football at the time of his move, cost Chelsea roughly the same as Costa, but after just three years, he left the club after only scoring nine goals in 48 appearances.

The former-AC Milan man isn’t the only striker to flop at Stamford Bridge, as ÂŁ50m-man Fernando Torres has also failed to re-find his Liverpool form, and Shevchenko has warned Costa that he could be the same if he doesn’t get going early on.

The Ukrainian said: “The best thing for Costa is to score and score early.

“That will be important to him.

“The expectations from the fans and the club are very big so he needs to score and get going.”

“I’m sure he will do well. Ithink he is a good striker and I like him.”

Lampard close to making decision over future

0

Frank Lampard left Chelsea at the end of last season following a very successful 13 year tenure with the cub which saw him become the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 211.

The England man has been heavily linked with several MLS clubs including new team New York City FC, who have already signed David Villa.

Lampard has admitted recently he will reveal his future very soon and he told Sky Sports“At the moment I have got a few options. There is no exclusive but I will be making a decision very shortly.”

The 36 year-old won his 106th England cap in the final group game of Group D against Costa Rica. And the ex-Chelsea man has already hinted that his international career may be at its end.

“Of course I would like to play for England again,” he said. “But maybe you cannot play for ever so again I’ve switched off for the moment. I have not made that decision either. I’m very aware that my England career cannot go on forever and I have enjoyed every minute so we will see.

“It will be a difficult decision but at the end of the day I would not ever have dreamed of having such an England career so I can only be happy with whatever decision I make.”

Sporting chairman denies all Carvalho bids

0

Reports claim that Manchester United have sent officials to Portugal to begin negotiations over a ÂŁ37m deal for William Carvalho.

However Sporting chairman De Carvalho has ended all speculation by claiming the club have not opened any transfer talks over the 22 year-old’s future.

The chairman spoke to A Bola“We haven’t received any formal or informal proposals for any of our players.”

United, Chelsea and Monaco have all been linked with the Portuguese international but Sporting are not worried about losing their young talent due to the â‚¬45million release fee written into his contract.

Despite claiming the club have not received any formal offers for Carvalho, the Sporting chairman is well aware of how quickly things can change as the transfer window wears on.

The defensive midfielder has already made appearances at the World Cup with Portugal and the speculation over the youngster’s future will carry on as the summer progresses and interest from clubs grow.

Arsenal in Debuchy and Sanchez talks

0

Arsenal are in talks to sign both Newcastle left-back Matheiu Debuchy and Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez.

The move for Debuchy is reportedly at an advanced stage, with Newcastle understood to be wanting a figure of ÂŁ10million for the player. On the other hand, The Gunners’ persuit of Sanchez is more complicated due to Barca’s interest in Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. The Catalans want at least ÂŁ25million for the Chilean.

Although it is thought that Sanchez would prefer a move to The Emirates, nothing will be resolved before the Suarez deal is finalised. Juventus are also thought to be interested in the winger. Left-back Debuchy would be replacing Bacary Sagna, who left Arsenal for Manchester City in June. Should the deal go through as expected, Newcastle would double the ÂŁ5million they spent on the Frenchman last year.

Liverpool make last-ditch Sanchez offer

0

Liverpool are set to make one final attempt to try and lure Alexis Sanchez to Anfield, by offering him a ÂŁ150,000 a week deal. The Barcelona winger has reportedly refused to be part of a package deal to help his club sign Luis Suarez, but Reds boss Brendan Rodgers still sees him as a key target.

However, Arsenal are leading the race to sign him, with Sanchez preferring a move to London. But Liverpool aren’t giving up that easily. According to Catalan newspaper AS, Brendan Rodgers is set to offer the Chile man a ÂŁ150,000 a week deal to change his mind and join The Reds over the Gunners.

He is currently ÂŁ75,000 a week at Barca, which is much less than what the Anfield side are offering him. Arsenal have privately promised to up his wages to ÂŁ135,000 but even that wouldn’t beat this last-ditch move from Liverpool.

Barcelona are now desperate to sell Sanchez, as they look for more funds to help push through a move for striker Luis Suarez and they are looking to try and complete the selling of the winger sometime this week.

Manchester United to bid for world cup superstar

0

Manchester United are set to launch a bid for Monaco winger James Rodriguez. This has come after his very impressive world cup performances for his native Columbia. The 22 year old has become one of the hottest names in football and his 6 goals has mafde him the top goal scorer of the competition. He only moved to Monaco last summer but United are hoping Monaco will agree to part with the player for a quick profit.

The fee is rumoured to be in the region of ÂŁ65 million, however with bonuses it can rise to ÂŁ90 million. However any move will depend on how keen Rodriguez is for the move. Monaco are a very rich club and are not pressured to sell, although selling Rodriguez would help with their financial fair play regulations.

0

Angel Di Maria heading to Manchester United

0

The Argentina international has been linked with a move away from Madrid after another fine season at the Champions League winners, scoring 11 goals and assisting 26 in all competitions.

And reports in Spain claim that his agent, Jorge Mendes, expects Di Maria to join Old Trafford as Real edge closer to signing Monaco’s James Rodriguez.

Madrid president Florentino Perez is understood to be open offers in the region of ÂŁ40m, with his performances at the World Cup increasing his valuation.

United have wasted no time at all in the transfer market as new boss Louis Van Gaal prepares to take the club back into Europe, splashing in excess of ÂŁ60m on Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera already.

i Maria looks set to become the third after reportedly feeling undervalued at the Bernabeu and has previously revealed that he will make a decision after the World Cup.

“For now, I’m just thinking the World Cup. We’ll see what happens with Madrid and if they want to continue, he said.

“Honestly, I know that there are offers and interested clubs.”

Arsenal, who broke their transfer record with the signing of Mesut Ozil from Madrid last season, are also interested in Di Maria’s services, while Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keen on a Stamford Bridge reunion with the winger.

Liverpool want Seattle Sounders’ DeAndre Yedlin on trial

0

Liverpool want to sign Yedlin for a trial during pre-season training, according to reports.

The Seattle Sounders defender, aged 20, caught the eye with an excellent substitute appearance during the US’s World Cup round of 16 defeat to Belgium.

But he was apparently already on the Reds’ radar after his performances in the Under-20 World Cup.

Reports in America suggest that Liverpool want him to join them for a trial spell during pre-season with a view to making a permanent move if he impresses at close quarters.

The pacy youngster offers versatility as he can play at right-back, left-back or as a winger. He delivered a marauding performance at full-back against Belgium, getting involved in attacks but also racing back to combat opposition attacks.

He also bagged an assist after a substitute appearance against Portugal earlier in the tournament.
