Chelsea initiates talks with Benjamin Sesko’s agent

Chelsea has taken serious moves in their pursuit of improving their squad for the upcoming season, with rumours claiming that they have held talks with Benjamin Sesko’s agent.

The 20-year-old RB Leipzig attacker received interest from a number of prominent teams, including London rivals Arsenal.

Following interest from other Premier League powers such as Manchester United, Chelsea is still interested in signing Sesko.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea have already contacted his agent.

On Substack, he stated: “The agent of Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig has already been contacted, as I exclusively reported yesterday [Sunday] morning.

“Chelsea also have very good relations with The Red Bull group — that side of things could help if Chelsea want to stagger the payments of his £42m release clause. As I said yesterday, a real one to watch this one.”

The Blues, who had a difficult season and finished outside of the European places, are prepared to refocus their attacking options.

Sesko’s likely arrival at Stamford Bridge could strengthen Chelsea’s frontline, offering competition and strength in their quest of success.

However, they will have plenty of competition from an in-form Arsenal side managed by manager Mikel Arteta, whose turning impact on players such as Kai Havertz caught Sesko’s interest.

While Chelsea deals, the prospect of playing under Arteta’s management could draw Sesko to the Emirates Stadium.

Chelsea plans to make a strong case for Sesko to join the club ahead of the upcoming season.

French Open tennis, also known as the Tournoi de Roland-Garros or simply Roland Garros colloquially, is one of the largest tennis tournaments in the world dating back to 1891.

The first ever edition of the French Open tournament began as a one-day tournament on the Ile de Puteaux in Paris but has been played since 1928 at the Roland-Garros stadium and has also grown enormously in proportions, and the championship is now one of the biggest tournaments in the world of tennis.

Of tennis’ four Grand Slam tournaments, it is also the only one of them all played on clay. The matches are played every year during the last week of May and the first week of June.

After a very exciting final in the first Grand Slam tournament of the year, the Australian Open , where Stefanos Tsitsipas beat Rafael Nadal in an exciting final meeting, and Serena Williams managed to beat her sister Venus Williams, it is now high time to start thinking about the next competition in the tournament and we leave Melbourne for Paris. Before every French Open tennis tournament, there are 128 men and 128 women on the singles side who fight to lift the legendary trophy. As for the French Open men, it is the Coupe des Mousquetaires, named after the famous French Davis Cup team of René Lacoste, Jean Borotra, Henri Cochet and Jacques Brugnon. As for the French Open women, it is the Suzanne Lenglen trophy that is at stake.

Favorite to win French Open Men’s Single

Novak Djokovic won his first French Open at last year’s tournament and is the reigning champion, but suffered a bitter loss at the Australian Open, which has left his supporters worried. Despite this, he is still a big favorite to take home the title, among several other competitors.

Rafael Nadal has experience on these courts and has taken home a whopping 10 French Open wins, a very impressive record, and the Spaniard can never be counted out. Carlos Alcarez is the new sensation who can win the trophy but has yet to win a French Open tournament and it remains to be seen how he will perform this year.

Favorite to win the French Open Women‘s Single

Angelique Kerber, currently ranked number 2 in the world, did not manage to convince during the Australian Open and smoked early in the tournament, but is hungry for revenge ahead of the next Grand Slam tournament and many believe she has a great chance on clay. Serena Williams is ranked one of the best in the world after winning the Australian Open against her sister Venus Williams, and is very hot despite her 35 years.

The American has a lot going for her. Garbiñe Murguruza is still fairly tame in tennis circles but is nevertheless the reigning champion of the “Court WC”, her first Grand Slam win, and the Spaniard, aged just 23, definitely has a future ahead of her as an extreme talent.

Euro 2024 Legends: Players playing their last Euros

There are many players who have entertained us a lot in Euros for years. However, their career is coming to a close and they are getting old. So we need to know that they will not be around much longer. So who will replace them?

Well think of that later but for now let us check out who are the Euro 2024 legends! As many players are there, we had to make a list. Watch & Bet live here =>

Euro 2024 legends

Manuel Neuer

Euro 2020 legends

Mats Hummels, Sami Khedira and Thomas Muller were thrown out of the German national team after their torrid 2018 ended. They wanted to usher in a new era much like they did back in 2002 and 2010. However, despite wanting to show the door to the older players, the players needed a leader and hence Manuel Neuer, the legendary German goalkeeper has been kept back.

A World Cup winner, a Champions League winner and multiple Bundesliga title winner – Neuer – has done amazingly well to maintain his form at this age. However, he too is getting old and this will definitely be his last chance to win something big again with the national team.

He is 38 years old and most probably, he will retire after this major event. It will be great for Neuer to win the Euro Cup trophy at home. Watch & Bet live here =>

Robert Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski

The Polish striker is one of the most underrated players of our generation. Had he been in any other era of football, he would have definitely won the Ballon d’Or once by now. He would have won it in 2020 but the event was cancelled due to covid.

The Barcelona striker is lethal in front of goal and has the attributes of a complete striker and a leader. Poland missed out on direct qualification after a poor show in Euro 2024 qualifiers but they went on to win the playoffs.

Lewandowski is getting old and will want to go out big. His Poland team have been under hitters always in big tournaments but now with AC Milan’s Piatek next to him, Lewandowski will be lethal and the one to look out for.

Cristiano Ronaldo

In the international circuit both these geniuses has had to piggyback their average national sides. Over there Ronaldo has outshined Messi. The captain of the champions of the Euro 2016 will always have one hand over his arch-nemesis. when it comes to international trophies, it is CR7 ahead!

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in the winter of 2022 and is currently one of the deservingly highest earners in Europe! Legends like him come once in a century and at the age of 39 it will be definitely the last time we get to see Cristiano Ronaldo on the big stage of Euros! During the French Open 2022, Rafael Nadal () knocked out Novak Djokovic (2.75) in the quarter-finals and then outclassed Casper Ruud (5.50). This time the men will have it a little easier as Rafael Nadal may not participate in the 2024 tournament due to an injury.

Even this year, the betting companies see Novak Djokovic (2.75) as one of the favorites to win the tournament, especially since fourteenth champion Rafael Nadal () is not lurking around the corner.

The one who is instead expected to send Novak Djokovic (2.75) home this time is Carlos Alcaraz (2.40), who is the top favorite to win this year’s competition. This is how the current winning odds currently look:

Gary Neville voices support for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson amidst criticism

Former Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville has voiced his admiration for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, amidst criticism of the player’s performances this season.

Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast, Neville expressed his support for the Senegal international, despite acknowledging the ups and downs of Jackson’s recent outings.

He said: “I actually like Nicolas Jackson. It might be an unpopular opinion on here, but I like him. I think he has a lot to give. He is a young player, and I think that he has not cost stupid money, this is his first full season in the Premier League, he scored quite a few goals and he keeps going, and there is a lot to be said for that.

“And, he might not be striker number one, but if he was your striker number two or three in a squad of 18 to 20, you would say, ‘I will take that’.”

Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Aston Villa saw Jackson make significant contributions, including a near-goal and a consistent attacking presence. However, his performance also drew scrutiny, particularly following a missed opportunity in the first half.

Nonetheless, Neville’s endorsement comes as a boost to Jackson, who faces mounting pressure to prove his worth in the Chelsea squad, especially with injuries limiting the team’s attacking options.

With a crucial London derby against Tottenham on the horizon, Jackson aims to demonstrate his capabilities and solidify his place in Chelsea’s plans for the future.

As the transfer window approaches, speculation swirls around Chelsea’s pursuit of a striker. Jackson’s determination to impress could influence the club’s decisions as they weigh their options for bolstering the squad.

Despite the uncertainties, Neville’s public support serves as a vote of confidence for the 22-year-old forward as he strives to make his mark at Stamford Bridge.

Reds actively pursue winger replacement amidst transfer speculations

Liverpool FC is gearing up for a pivotal summer transfer window as they brace themselves for the potential departure of star winger Mohamed Salah.

Reports suggest that the Reds are actively scouting for a replacement, with journalist Dean Jones revealing their intentions to secure a new winger.

Jones stated to GiveMeSport: “I think there are now more reasons to consider a sale of Mohamed Salah as a good thing than a bad thing. If they really can bring in over £70million for him, why not cash in?

“His impact has not been great enough this season to feel he would be as big of a loss as he would have been in the past. One good source did indicate to me that he believes Liverpool are going to start planning for life beyond Salah and that a new wide player will be coming into the club before next season.”

With Dutch manager Arne Slot on the brink of taking the reins at Anfield, Liverpool’s hierarchy is wasting no time in outlining their transfer strategy.

Salah’s possible move to the Saudi Pro League, amidst interest from clubs like Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal, has prompted Liverpool to expedite their plans.

Jurgen Klopp’s imminent departure further emphasizes the need for a smooth transition, marking the end of an era for the Merseyside club.

Talksport has hinted at Salah’s potential suitors, indicating a lucrative offer from Saudi clubs keen on securing his services.

In light of Salah’s underwhelming season, the consensus among pundits is that Liverpool should entertain offers for the Egyptian winger. His contract situation adds urgency to the matter, with Liverpool keen to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

As Liverpool braces for life without Salah, the club’s swift action in the transfer market reflects their determination to sustain their competitive edge in the Premier League and beyond.
